Residential Program

The Halcyon Center provides residential supports in a number of settings including:

  • In-home services
  • 24-hour staffed community residences
  • Supported living arrangements

The type of supports provided depends on the carefully assessed needs of each individual. The aim is to provide the least restrictive environment that will assist that individual to become active members of the community in which they live.

Family members are encouraged to be an integral part of their child’s life through participation in program planning, visits to their child’s home, special events, community outings, and overnights with the family. Residential programs are coordinated with vocational program goals.

Support staff facilitates growth in:

  • Stress reduction and coping skills
  • Safety skills
  • Communication
